Upgrading your Laser Hair Removal license is not required to operate a laser hair removal device; however, it is highly recommended to both expand your laser skill set and stand out to employers.

Upgrading your license is required for individuals who either:

  1. Open a laser hair removal facility, in which one full-time Laser Hair Removal Professional (next tier) is required

  2. Would like to be a trainer and sign off on the 100-body sites for an Apprentice in Training. (Only a licensed Senior or Professional Laser Hair Removal Technician may supervise an Apprentice in Training)

During this 2-day course, you will assist the LHR instructor in supervising the Apprentice in Training student(s). You will learn how to perform the duties listed in the Laser Safety Officer description and identify potential laser hazards for the student and the facility.

Training is available daily, however, limited availability is due to keeping our student/instructor ratio small, allowing for optimal learning and hands-on experience for the student. 

  • You may reserve your training dates by choosing specific dates from the drop-down menu or select the TBD option if you are not a licensed LHR Technician yet.

  • Training generally takes about two full days

    • Copy of your LHR License issued by TDLR

    • State issued photo ID

    • Completion of supervised 100-body sites

    • Additional Training Provided

    • Guiding students with consultation, laser application, documentation, and facility/regulatory protocols

    • Identifying potential adverse reactions and proper protocol(s) for follow-up care

    2. Once our admissions team has received your payment, please allow 24 hours to receive your enrollment agreement with the required documentation.
